History of Paella


Paella originates from Valencia and is a rice dish, it is widely regarded from non Spaniards as Spains national dish however within Spain it is seen as a regional Valencian dish. People from Valencia, in turn, regard Paella as one of their identifying symbols and it has become a custom at mass gatherings in Valencia to prepare a massive Paella which is able to feed thousands of people. In October 2011 the worlds biggest Paella was made which fed about 110,000 people!
